Loaded and empty.

Ten pairs on one wall, and the bare rack so you can see the shallow 30° slots and the reclaimed wood.

Buyer tip: big bindings? Alternate tip direction on every other pair so each heel piece sits over the next pair's toe piece.
Why it's different

Built here, by hand, from reclaimed wood.

Won't bend your skis

Racks that hang skis by the tips can bend them over time, especially rockered skis. This rack holds each pair at its contact points, so your skis rest the way they were built.

Fits any ski

It holds any size ski, from small kids' skis to wide powder skis and twin tips. The whole family's quiver fits on one rack.

Skis dry fast

Skis sit at an angle, so melting snow drips right off instead of pooling around the bindings and edges. That helps keep rust off your edges.

Reclaimed wood

Reclaimed wood gives every rack its own grain and character. Every board gets checked for nails, and we never use painted or pressure-treated wood.

Mounts flush to the wall

Three crossbars sit in notches on the back and lag-bolt straight into your wall studs, so the rack sits flat against the wall and never moves.

No floor space

Your skis hang on the wall, out of the way, with nothing sticking out into the garage or mudroom. Your car, bikes, and boots keep their room.

About us

Hi, we’re the 2Skip brothers!

Ashton and Landon, the two brothers behind 2Skip Racks
Ashton (left) & Landon

We’re two brothers who live in a mountain town and pretty much live on our skis. We’re both on the ski team, and we play hockey too. With five people in our family and our parents having a bunch of skis too, our garage was a total mess of skis everywhere.

So a few years ago, our dad built two racks to fix it, and they worked awesome. Then our friends and other people started asking him to build them one too.

Ski and hockey gear is really expensive, and our parents are making us pay for more of our own stuff now. Landon used to mow lawns around the neighborhood, but then he had a better idea: build ski racks and help people get their skis organized. So that’s what we’re doing!

Every rack you buy helps us pay for our gear. Thanks for supporting us. See you on the mountain!

Why it's worth it

What you get for $379.

Handmade, one at a time

Not flat-packed or mass-produced. Each rack is built by hand, sanded, stained, and clear-coated, and it shows up finished and ready to hang.

Protects your gear

One pair of skis can cost $500–$1,000+, and 10 pairs can be $5,000+ of your family's gear. This rack keeps it all safe, organized, and off the floor.

Won't bend your skis

Skis rest on their contact points, not hung by the tips, so rockered skis keep their shape.

About $38 a pair

$379 for 10 pairs works out to about $38 per pair of skis stored. Comparable racks sell for $450+. Plus, the pole rack is free.

Built to last decades

Solid wood, lag-bolted into your studs. Buy it once and use it for decades. Local delivery is free in Teton Valley.

Helps two young athletes

FAQ

Questions people ask

Will it bend my skis?

Racks that hang skis by the tips can bend them over time, especially rockered skis. This rack holds each pair at its contact points, so your skis rest the way they were built.

Will it fit my skis?

Yes. It holds any size ski, from small kids' skis to wide powder skis and twin tips.

How does it mount? Do I need studs?

Yes. The rack hangs flush on the wall from three crossbars (top, center, and bottom), and each crossbar gets lag-bolted into wall studs. Six lag bolts are included, two per crossbar. Studs are usually 16" apart, and each crossbar is long enough to reach at least two. Don't use drywall anchors alone, because a full rack of skis is heavy. Stay away from spots near outlets and switches, where wiring may run. If you'd rather not deal with it, we'll install it for $35.

Does it lean against the wall or stand on its own?

Neither. It's a wall-mounted rack. Because it's bolted to studs, it sits flush and solid without taking up any floor space.

How long until my rack is ready?

Standard racks usually take about [LEAD TIME, e.g. 1–2 weeks]. Custom sizes can take a little longer. Since the kids build around school, we'll give you a date when you order. The weeks before opening day and before the holidays get busy, so order early.

Can you build a different size?

Yes. We can build shorter racks for low ceilings, bigger ones for a large quiver, or a size that fits a narrow wall or kids' skis. Pricing is about $38 per pair of capacity, with a $249 minimum. Send us your ceiling height and how many pairs you want to store using the form.

Will it fit wide powder skis?

Yes. The slots are shallow 1½" wide openings angled at 30° and spaced 8¾" apart, with solid wood behind each cut, so wide powder skis and twin tips fit. The top edge is ski spot #1, cut at the same 30° angle with no slot, and the nine slot marks run from 8¾" through 78¾", leaving 5¼" of solid wood below the last slot. Big bindings? Alternate tip direction on every other pair so each heel piece sits over the next pair's toe piece. If you have something extra wide, tell us your widest ski in the notes.

How do I take care of it?

Wipe it down with a dry cloth now and then, and wipe up melted snow so water doesn't sit on the wood. At the start of each season, make sure the lag bolts are still snug. Scuffs are part of the reclaimed look, but if you want, you can touch them up with a little stain or furniture wax.

Do kids really build it? Is it safe?

Yes. They measure, mark, sand, stain, assemble, and inspect each rack, and they do the final wiggle test. Dad does the saw cuts and the routing, drives the lag bolts, and supervises everything. Each board gets checked for nails, and we don't use painted or pressure-treated wood.

How do I pay?

For the 10-pair and 6-pair racks, use the Buy now buttons to pay by card through Stripe. For custom orders, we'll send you a secure payment link once we've confirmed the details.
